Racine, WI – The Racine Art Museum (RAM) is hosting an unconventional community art exhibition centering the iconic PEEPS® Brand marshmallow candy! RAM PEEPS® Brand Art Exhibition 2026, the 17th edition of this annual tradition, features works by creatives of all ages and abilities that either incorporate or represent the sweet—and sometimes divisive—springtime treat. Visitors can immerse themselves in this combination of creativity and confection through Saturday, April 18.
On Tuesday, March 31, RAM hosted The Golden PEEPS® Awards, a celebratory opening reception that rolled out the orange carpet for the stars of the show—the artists whose work makes the RAM PEEPS® Brand Art Exhibition possible. During the event, awards in multiple categories were presented to artists who went above and beyond with clever and skilled use or representation of PEEPS® marshmallow candy.

Each of the talented artists received a framed certificate acknowledging their exceptional work. First-place award winners in each category and the recipient of the RAM Staff Choice Award also received a golden glass PEEPS® Bunny sculpture that was handcrafted by Hot Shop Glass, a glass art studio and gallery in downtown Racine. The RAM PEEPS® Postcard Award recipient had their entry reproduced as a souvenir postcard and received a stack of them alongside a framed certificate. Postcards from the 2026 exhibition are available for purchase in the RAM Museum Store alongside a limited number of prints from past exhibitions.
“Each year, we are presented with truly exceptional artwork submissions, which makes selecting award winners incredibly difficult,” said Katelyn Mitchell, RAM Assistant Curator. “Several factors were taken into account when selecting the prize winners, including creativity, presentation, and, of course, use of PEEPS® marshmallow candy either as art media or inspiration. It’s always wonderful to see artists transform this unusual material into something novel.”
In addition to the awards selected by RAM, museum visitors are invited to select their own award winner. Guests are allowed a single vote per visit for their favorite creation in the exhibition, naming one popular artwork worthy of the coveted PEEPle’s Choice Award. The award will be announced after the exhibition closes, and the recipient will receive a framed certificate and a golden glass PEEPS® Bunny sculpture.
“PEEPle’s Choice Award voting brings out a tremendous level of enthusiasm from visitors,” said Tyler Potter, RAM Marketing and Communications Specialist. “Over the years, I’ve witnessed people circle the galleries multiple times to narrow down their choices, lobby for their favorite piece among other guests, and even ask for additional ballots—which we unfortunately had to decline.”
