Curator Led Tour of Akiko-Ike: Born Chiku-Chiku Exhibition at the Wisconsin Museum of Quilt & Fiber Arts, Cedarburg, Wisconsin

Artdose Magazine and Wisconsin Museum of Quilts & Fiber Arts present a curator-led tour of WMQFA’s exhibition of Akiko-Ike: Boro Chiku-Chiku Exhibition, followed by a behind-the-scenes look at the museum’s collection and social hour hosted by Artdose Publisher Frank Juárez. Akiko Ike: Boro Chiku-Chiku presents over 100 works created by the renowned Japanese artist Akiko Ike. Ike, an artist, gallery owner, and teacher from Niigata, Japan, has been making her “chiku-chiku” textiles for over twenty years, most of which are on display for the first time in the U.S. in the artist’s first solo museum exhibition in North America.
