This two day workshop will explore using gels, mediums and grounds as surfaces to print with and lay on. The first day, we will concentrate on building “collograph” plates with mat board and golden mediums. We will also create papers for faux “chine colle”, as well as create papers using gelli plates.

Second day, we will print our boards on a variety of papers, as well as “enhance “our monoprints: drawing and painting into them to create finished works. we will also turn our printing plates into artworks that stand on their own.

Sounds complex, but really just a lot of fun. New techniques and fun ideas. Each artist will leave with some finished works, and knowledge of new techniques. All paints generously supplied by Golden. Please bring your own acrylic brushes.
