Platteville, Wisconsin — Rountree Gallery presents ‘Plotters’ an exhibit of Davenport, Iowa artists Gail Ray and Chris Reno.

Ray’s art explores urban archaeology and artifacts to capture and portray the passage of time in our lives and culture. The works are created with color, layered graphics, texture and transparency via a plotter on Mylar and embellished with acrylics.

The art exhibited by Reno is layered fields of color, often with up to 60 layers of color via printmaking but originally based off of photos. Utilizing a CNC vinyl cutter and Sharpies, it is a slow and patient progression and the result is the process rather than a concept.

Exhibit opens Thursday, June 24 through Saturday, August 7, 2021 at the Rountree Gallery at 120 W. Main St. in Platteville, WI.  The show is open every Thursday and Friday from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and every Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.  A reception with the artists is Friday, June 25 from 4 – 7 p.m.
