May 28 – August 14, 2022

TMA Contemporary is the Trout Museum of Art’s annual juried exhibition, this year showcasing 114 of Wisconsin’s top visual artists. Works exemplify the cutting-edge art being created by artists across the state, emerging and established.

Jurors, Mutòpe Johnson, Samantha Timm, and Christina Turner selected artists based on their artistic quality and innovative ideas. Artists draw inspiration from the world around them, personal narrative, the environment, or their inner feelings and imagination. Spanning all three floors of the museum, TMA Contemporary represents a wide spectrum of media and creative perspectives.
