Platteville, Wisconsin – Rountree Gallery is excited to announce the opening of two new exhibitions, The Drift and Sneak Peek, both celebrating artistic expression and community. These exhibits will run concurrently, offering visitors a unique opportunity to explore the creative talents of regional artists and gain insight into their artistic processes.
The Drift
The Drift is a group exhibition showcasing artists who reside within 100 miles of Platteville, WI. With over 35 participating artists working in a variety of mediums, this exhibit highlights the depth and diversity of artistic talent in the region. The Drift aims to broaden the circle of local artists, fostering a growing community that welcomes creators at all stages of their careers. By bringing together both emerging and established artists, this exhibition provides a space for connection, inspiration, and engagement with the broader art scene.
Sneak Peek: A Glimpse Inside Artist Sketchbooks
Alongside The Drift, Rountree Gallery presents Sneak Peek, an intimate exploration of artists’ sketchbooks. This exhibit features invited artists who open their sketchbooks to the public, offering a rare look at their personal drawings, studies, and inspirations. These pages provide an unfiltered and raw insight into their creativity, revealing hidden details and evolving ideas. Sneak Peek invites viewers to immerse themselves in the private world of artists and appreciate the spontaneity and authenticity of their sketches.
