In this workshop you will complete a painting of your own pet! Here is how it works:

1. Register with Lakeshore Art Supplies
2. Email Lori a digital photo of your pet.
Use this address: parotize77@juno.com   *(only 1 pet, please. Any pet will work!)
3. Come to the workshop on June 25th!

Lori will use the photo you send to prepare your 9″x12″ canvas for the workshop. During the workshop, Lori will be assisting you and offering suggestions if you need them. You can work at your own pace, no pressure, just fun!

Lakeshore Art Supplies will be hosting a monthly Art + Coffee gathering at 1109 North 8th Street in Sheboygan. This social event is open to anyone interested in talking about art, recent exhibitions, articles, books, etc.

Our monthly featured artist will be present to talk about his/her work. Our next Art + Coffee with be on November 12th with Peg Haubert. This event is free to attend. The coffee is provided by our friends at Paradigm Coffee and Music.

Painting After Hours with Erica Jane Huntzinger

Join us for a small group abstract painting experience led by local artist Erica Jane Huntzinger. Participants will leave with their own completed 9×12 abstract acrylic painting. Enjoy complimentary wine and a few art goodies to take home with you, courtesy of the store.

Participation is limited to 8 artists to allow for more individual time with the instructor.

 Encaustics Workshop with Peg Haubert

Peg will give an introduction to the medium and its history, followed by an overview of the supplies. She will then discuss ways to work with the medium using hot irons, propane torches, hair dryers, and brushes and scratch tools. Each participant will have time to play with these tools and create their own work of art to take home with them. All tools and supplies for this workshop will be provided. 

1. Learn to use recycled cardboard to make your own supports for encaustic paintings
2. Learn image transfer techniques that work well with encaustic photos, hand drawn and stock graphics,
    recycled greeting cards, Citra Solv papers
3. Learn how to embed and seal objects into encaustic
4. Make holiday greeting cards and ornaments
5. Embellish frames
6. Transform everyday items into works of art

Those who attend will be eligible for a discount if they wish to purchase or order their own encaustics supplies after the workshop.
