ABOUT THE CALL

The Janesville Area Convention & Visitors Bureau is excited to announce their 2024 Call for Artists. For the fifth consecutive year, muralists will be part of the annual Art Infusion event that will take place on September 6, 7 and 8 in downtown Janesville, Wisconsin. This year there is one unique space available. Please read through the entire call prior to submitting.

ELIGIBILITY & INCLUSION

  • Must be 18+ years of age
  • May submit as individual or teams
  • All examples of work must be artists’ own original artwork. The Janesville Area Convention & Visitors Bureau is committed to equity and inclusion. People of color, indigenous artists, LGBTQ+ individuals, differently-abled and neurodiverse persons, seniors, and women are strongly encouraged to apply.

TRAVEL REIMBURSEMENT

Art Infusion is offering free hotel stay and up to $500 travel reimbursement for flight or mileage that may be incurred.

DATES TO NOTE

  • Submission deadline: July 19, 11:59 PM
  • Artists notified by: July 26
  • Sketch deadline for selected artists: August 5
  • Final artist selection: August 9
  • Art Infusion celebration: September 6, 7 & 8

SPECS & DETAILS

  • Mural location: 314 W Milwaukee St – Janesville – WI, 53548
  • Size: 32.6’ wide x 26.6’ tall
  • Compensation: $8,000
  • Supplies: $1,000
  • Vision: Proposed mural art will compliment existing mural art
  • About the area: Midwest Storage building with great visibility, located on main thoroughfare through downtown Janesville
  • Other considerations: The wall will be prepped and primed; and a lift will be provided

STEPS TO SUBMIT

1. Make sure you do not have any conflicts on September 6, 7 and 8.

2. Be prepared to submit at least three images of prior work that is applicable for this call.

3. Complete the submission form by July 19, 11:59 PM.
