Teeny, Tiny, BOLD: Call for Art at Rountree Gallery

 

Call for Art

Platteville, WI — Rountree Gallery announces an art call for “Teeny, Tiny, BOLD” – an annual regional juried small works exhibit, highlighting the power in the compact. Open to artists 18 and older in Wisconsin or within 300 miles of Platteville.  Artists are encouraged to explore ideas of compression, focus, scale, the intimate and what gives impact and meaning through a restrained format.  Dimensions cannot exceed 12” in any direction, including frame or other mounts.  The exhibit will be on display Nov 18, 2021 through Feb 2, 2022 and include Artists Sunday, a national campaign to support artists the Sunday of Thanksgiving weekend.

“Teeny, Tiny, BOLD” will be juried by Frank Juarez, who brings two decades of art education and arts management experience organizing local and regional art exhibitions, community art events, facilitating presentations, supporting artists through grant programs, and professional development workshops. He is in the forefront of promoting Wisconsin artists, networking, and attracting regional, national, and international artists to collaborate and exhibit in Wisconsin. Juarez is the art department chair at Sheboygan North High School, contributing editor of SchoolArts Magazine, and publisher of Artdose Magazine.
