Highlights: Milwaukee Gallery Night Fall 2023

Frank Juárez

The excitement for Milwaukee Gallery Night & Day started about two weeks prior to the art event. Social media has been a great way to get a sense of which venues will participating as well as which artists will be exhibiting. This two-day event featured 50 venues located in four “neighborhoods” – Historic Third Ward, Walker’s Point, East Town & East Side, and Westown & West Side. I have found that preparing an itinerary will help maximize the number of visits during the 4-hour Friday evening event, which tends to be the perfect night for socializing and networking. Saturday is the best day to go back and really absorb the diverse works of many artists. What I have enjoyed about this event is that it truly brings people together to enjoy the visual arts.

Here is my itinerary for the evening. Even though the quarterly event is over, most of the exhibitions are still on view. Below I list the title of the exhibition, location, website, and snapshot of what you can expect to see the next time you head down to Milwaukee.
