Princeton, Wisconsin – LEVEE CONTEMPORARY is proud to announce a new exhibition featuring artwork by Princeton-based photographer Michaela Foreman. The show will open Friday, March 1st with an opening reception on that Friday from 4:00 – 7:00 pm. The reception is free and open to the public, who are encouraged to check out the photography, chat with the artist, and enjoy complimentary snacks and drinks.

Michaela Foreman records images that evoke the often brutal and isolated conditions of winter farming in rural Wisconsin. Working daily with horses, Foreman embraces their stoicism toward inclement weather. The result is a curated series of photographs that pointedly capture a world, devoid of color and warmth, with stark images that find beauty even in the worst of conditions.

Her photography will be the feature exhibition of the upstairs gallery at Levee Contemporary. The exhibition will run through May 15, 2024. Gallery hours are Thursday through Monday, 9 am – 5 pm.
